WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Fund No. 1160 was established pursuant to Resolution 22-098 to account for parks and recreational activity outside of the Southwest Washington Fair Fund No. 1060; and

WHEREAS, at the time of fund establishment, state law required the funds of the Southwest Washington Fair to be kept separate and apart from all other funds of Lewis County; and

WHEREAS, RCW 36.90.030 was revised on June 6, 2024, to allow the accounting of the Southwest Washington Fair funds to be consistent with all other funds of Lewis County; and

WHEREAS, due to the change in state law, parks and recreational activity may be accounted for in the same fund as the Southwest Washington Fair.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that on or before December 31, 2024, the Parks and Recreation Fund No. 1160 shall be closed and all residual cash or claims shall be transferred to the Southwest Washington Fair Fund No. 1060.
