Resolution

WHEREAS, Resolution 24-070 passed on February 27, 2024, approved a contract between Superior Court and PPC Solutions for front door security costs in the amount of $180,724.20 per year ($15,060.35 per month); and

WHEREAS, due to the increased contract costs, Superior Court's current budget in 0165 of $141,820.00 does not fully cover the PPC Solutions contract, and as a result Superior Court sought alternative means of funding to help alleviate the cost to Court Security (0165); and

WHEREAS, upon applying for a grant for court security through Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), Superior Court has been awarded funding to offset $33,500.00 of the court security costs; and

WHEREAS, through this agreement with AOC, $33,500.00 of the $38,904.20 expenditure increase to the PPC Solutions contract will be offset; and

WHEREAS, Superior Court will also move forward with directing the update to Court Security Cameras utilizing funding of $30,000.00 from AOC.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners approves an agreement between Lewis County Superior Court and Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) awarding a total of $63,500.00.
