LIST THE BIDS RECEIVED AND CONTRACTOR SELECTED FOR THE SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON FAIRGROUNDS WATERLINE REHABILITATION PROJECT, PROJECT #31-2318
WHEREAS, the water system at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds and Park is developing leaks as it ages and is in need of rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County issued a Call for Bids based upon plans and specifications prepared by TerraVista NW, LLC; and
WHEREAS, four (4) responses were received by the June 12, 2024, deadline as follows:

WHEREAS, it appears that KCL Excavating has submitted the lowest responsive bid, with alternates, at $754,560.00. The engineer's estimate for the project was $934.704.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED upon the recommendation of staff, the Lewis county Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hereby awards the contract for the SWW Fair Waterline Rehabilitation Project to KCL Excavating Inc. of Rochester, Wash., in the amount of $754,560.00; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the BOCC authorizes the Parks ad Recreation Administrator to sign said contract on behalf of Lewis County.
