Resolution

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Utility Division has been awarded a ramp litter cleanup program grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology; and

WHEREAS, Ramp Litter Clean-up Program Agreement No. SWMRLCP-2325-LeCSWU-00001 allows the State to fund $60,000.00 for ramp litter pickup along state highway ramps in Lewis County, effective October 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025; and

WHEREAS, the overall goal of the Ramp Litter Cleanup Program (RLCP) is to assist counties, cities and towns with the costs of litter cleanup efforts on Interstate, State Route, or US highway ramps, interchanges and intersections in their jurisdiction; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best interest of the public to ratify this agreement.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners hereby ratifies the Public Works Director's signature on the Ramp Litter Cleanup Program Grant Agreement No. SWMRLCP-2325-LeCSWU-00001 in the total amount of $60,000.00, effective October 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025, between the Washington State Department of Ecology and Lewis County Solid Waste Utility, a Division of Lewis County Department of Public Works.
