Resolution

WHEREAS, Lewis County has a Civil Service Commission as outlined in RCW 41.14; and

WHEREAS, member Bill Cavinder stepped down effective June 1, 2024, creating a vacancy on the three-member commission; and

WHEREAS, Morton resident Donald Clevinger has expressed an interest in and a willingness to serve on the Civil Service Commission; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the public's best interest for the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to appoint Donald Clevinger to fill the remainder of Bill Cavinder's term.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby appoints Donald Clevinger to the Civil Service Commission effective immediately to fill the remainder of Bill Cavinder's vacated term, which expires December 31, 2026.
