APPROVE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO NOXIOUS WEED CONTRACT K4611 WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE
WHEREAS, Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board (LCNWCB) opted into an agreement, Contract Number K4611, with the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) on August 8, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Contract K4611 allows for the treatment and progressive management of the complex of invasive knotweed species on the Cowlitz and Chehalis Rivers, as well as associated tributaries within Lewis County; and
WHEREAS, WSDA wishes to amend Contract K4611 to increase the budget by $5,000.00 in light of the work performed in the service of this contract over the prior season; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to approve the Program Coordinator signing Amendment No. 1 with a new total for Contract K4611 of $25,000.00 for the effective period of the agreement, which is scheduled through June 30, 2025.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners approves the Program Coordinator of the Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board accepting Amendment No. 1 to Contract number K4611 with the Washington State Department of Agriculture and signing the same on behalf of the Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board.
