THE EXTENDED CLOSURE OF SHOREY ROAD TO ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC BETWEEN MILEPOST 0.00 AND MILEPOST 0.72
WHEREAS, RCW 47.48.010 provides that the county legislative authority may close roads for a period of time during construction; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to stabilize the bank of Shorey Road in conjunction with County Road Project CRP-2159-O; and
WHEREAS, to facilitate bank stabilization, it will be necessary to close Shorey Road between MP 0.00 to MP 0.72 during construction; and
WHEREAS, Shorey Road will remain open for local access up to, but not between the points of closure, and alternate routes will be available to bypass the closure area.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to RCW 47.48.010 and .020, beginning July 15, 2024, and ending before September 30, 2024, Shorey Road between MP 0.00 and MP 0.72 shall be closed to all through traffic.
