Resolution

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) created the East Lewis County Public Development Authority (ELCPDA) via Ordinance 1149 on May 20, 1996; and

WHEREAS, member Blake Griffith has resigned, leaving a vacancy; and

WHEREAS, Amy Besunder of Packwood has expressed an interest in and a willingness to serve on the ELCPDA; and

WHEREAS, member Gerry Monkman, whose term expired April 1, 2024, has expressed an interest in and a willingness to continue serving on the ELCPDA; and

WHEREAS, members of the ELCPDA serve staggered three-year terms; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to appoint Amy Besunder and reappoint Gerry Monkman to the ELCPDA Board of Directors.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOCC hereby appoints Amy Besunder to the ELCPDA Board of Directors to fill the remainder of Blake Griffith's three-year term, which expires April 1, 2025; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the BOCC hereby reappoints Gerry Monkman to the ELCPDA Board of Directors to fill a three-year term ending April 1, 2027.
