Resolution

WHEREAS, RCW 70.95 provides for the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to appoint a Committee to advise the Board on solid waste matters; and

WHEREAS, the term of Tom Rupert, a member of the current Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC), expired on June 1, 2024, and he has indicated a desire to continue to serve on this committee; and

WHEREAS, the term for SWAC member Eddie Lewis ended June 1, 2024, creating a vacancy; and

WHEREAS, Ed Morlan has expressed a desire to serve on the SWAC as a new member; and

WHEREAS, the BOCC wishes to reappoint Tom Rupert as a member of the SWAC and appoint Ed Morlan as a new member of the SWAC.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following individual is hereby reappointed to the SWAC representing interests of and for one term to end June 1, 2026: Tom Rupert, Regional Manager/Lemay-Waste Connections; and the following individual is hereby appointed to the SWAC representing interests of and for one term to end June 1, 2026: Ed Morlan, Lewis County curbside garbage and recycling/Lemay-Waste Connections.
