Summary:

A call for bids for the Vader Water System Improvements Project was made on April 25, 2024. The project was advertised in the Chronicle, the Daily Journal of Commerce, OMWBE web site, and OpenGov. Public Works received seven bids for this project on May 16, 2024. The Engineer's Estimate for this project, including Schedule A: Base Bid, Schedule B: Additive 1 and Schedule C: Additive 2 was $2,965,551.05. HCON Incorporated provided the lowest responsive total bid of $1,999,999.39.

Public Works recommends awarding this project to the lowest responsive bidder, HCON Incorporated, Puyallup, WA.

WHEREAS, a call for bids was issued April 25, 2024, for the Vader Water System Improvements Project; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted from the contractors as follows:

WHEREAS, HCON Incorporated provided the lowest responsive bid quote of $1,999,999.39 for the Vader Water System Improvements Project.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the Vader Water System Improvements Project shall be awarded to HCON Incorporated in the amount of $1,999,999.39. Upon presentation of an acceptable contract, the Public Works Director is authorized to sign on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.
