WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners ("BOCC") has reviewed the executed Agreement, attached hereto as "Attachment "A," between the Lewis County Sheriff's Office and Prosecuting Attorney's administrative staff, and Teamsters #252 ("Union"), (collectively, the "parties"), for the purpose of enrolling into the Teamsters Retirement plan only effective June 1, 2024; and

WHEREAS, the parties to this Agreement understand and agree that this Agreement does not provide any employee outlined in the Attachment A, Appendixes A and B of the fully executed Agreement, with the rights to the grievance procedure, mediation or arbitration; and

WHEREAS, the parties to this Agreement further understand and agree to remit to the Retirees Welfare Trust RWT the full premium amount on behalf of each employee with no employer contribution as outlined in Attachment A; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of this Agreement between the parties.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC (1) approves the fully executed Agreement and (2) authorizes the IT Director/HR Interim Director and the HR Deputy Director to execute the MOU on behalf of Lewis County effective June 1, 2024.
