Resolution
REAPPOINT TOM CROWSON, RUSS WIGLEY, JOHNNY DUNNAGAN AND PAULETTE EATON AND APPOINT NEWCOMERS TARA LUNDIN AND GEORGE DODD TO THE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
WHEREAS, RCW 84.48.014 establishes the Board of Equalization (BOE), for which members serve three-year terms; and
WHEREAS, the terms for all six Lewis County BOE members were set to expire June 30, 2024; and
WHEREAS, four of the BOE members with expired terms -- Tom Crowson, Russ Wigley, Johnny Dunnagan and Paulette Eaton -- have expressed a desire and willingness to continue serving on the BOE; and
WHEREAS, the two other BOE members with expired terms -- Dennis Blake and Richard Tausch -- have not sought reappointment, creating two vacancies; and
WHEREAS, Chehalis residents George Dodd and Tara Lundin, who both reside in Commissioner District 2, have expressed interest in filling the vacant BOE positions.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners hereby reappoints Tom Crowson, Russ Wigley, Johnny Dunnagan and Paulette Eaton and appoints Tara Lundin and George Dodd to the Board of Equalization for three-year terms expiring June 30, 2027.
