APPROVE AN AMENDMENT TO THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHEHALIS AND LEWIS COUNTY AND AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY MANAGER'S SIGNATURE THEREON
WHEREAS, in 2018, the City of Chehalis and Lewis County entered in an agreement pursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation Act (ILA), RCW 39. 34 to co-manage the Chehalis Urban Growth Area; and
WHEREAS, that agreement, ratified as Resolution 18-148, permitted amendments by mutual agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Chehalis has requested a time extension to the agreement. Extension of the timeline would be beneficial for both parties to continue negotiations on a new ILA.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners hereby approves an amendment to the ILA with Chehalis, attached hereto as Exhibit A, and authorizes the County Manager's signature thereon.
