This contract provides for the improvement of Haywire Road in Lewis County by pulverization. A call for bids was made on March 7, 2024 in The Chronicle, the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce and Opengov.  Public Works received one bid on March 28, 2024.

Public Works recommends awarding this project to the lowest responsive bidder, Ground Up Construction, Inc., Sumner, WA

Resolution

WHEREAS, a call for bids for the Pulverization for Haywire Road Rehabilitation Project was made on March 7, 2024; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted on March 28, 2024, from contractors as follows:

 ; and

WHEREAS, Ground Up Road Construction Inc. provided the most advantageous and responsive bid quote of $29,863.40, including taxes, for the Pulverization for Haywire Road Rehabilitation Project.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the Pulverization for Haywire Road Rehabilitation Project shall be awarded to Ground Up Road Construction Inc., Sumner, Wash., in the amount of $29,863.40, including taxes, upon the execution of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Upon presentation of such a contract, the County Engineer is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
