Summary:

Approve and Authorize the Public Works Director to sign a Consultant Contract with HDR Engineering, Inc for Architectural and Engineering Services for Stage 1 of the Westside Connector Corridor Phase 1 Improvements project on North Scheuber Road between Mt. Vista Road and Galvin Road.

The Request for Qualifications for soliciting interest for Architectural and Engineering firms appeared in the Chronicle and Daily Journal of Commerce Seattle on April 20, 2023 and April 27, 2023 to provide Architectural and Engineering services for design, surveying, utility coordination, and plans, specifications, and engineer's estimate of probable construction cost for the project.

Resolution

WHEREAS, a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) was published in The Chronicle and the Daily Journal of Commerce (Seattle) on April 20, 2023, and April 27, 2023, for Architectural and Engineering firms to provide engineering services for design, surveying, right-of-way services, utility coordination, and plans, specifications, and engineer's estimate of probable construction cost for Stage 1 of the Westside Connector Corridor Phase 1 Improvement project on North Scheuber Road between Mt. Vista Road and Galvin Road; and

WHEREAS, the County received one proposal from HDR Engineering Inc.; and

WHEREAS, HDR Engineering Inc., with supporting sub-consultants (collectively referred to as the Consultant), has been selected to deliver Stage 1 of the Westside Connector Corridor Phase 1 Improvement project.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approves the contract with HDR Engineering Inc. and authorizes the Public Works Director to sign on behalf of Lewis County.
