Summary:

Three parcels were historically offered for sale at auction by the Treasurer due to tax delinquencies. The parcels did not sell at the tax sale and were subsequently deeded by the Treasurer to Lewis County as tax title property. This resolution would authorize the sale of the parcels at the amount of unpaid taxes and miscellaneous Treasurer's fees.

ACCEPT A BID ON TAX TITLE PROPERTY OFF HOBBS DRIVE IN MORTON

Resolution Number: 24-034

WHEREAS, the following described tax title property (parcel Nos. 008650007000, 008650008000 and 008650009000) were conveyed to Lewis County by the County Treasurer following an unsuccessful attempt to sell the property at public auction; and

WHEREAS, the County has received an offer from an adjoining owner in the amount of $2,589.65, which is the amount of unpaid taxes and miscellaneous Treasurer's fees; and

WHEREAS, since the parcels are impractical to build on due to size and shape, RCW 36.35.150(1) allows for the properties to be disposed of by private negotiations without a call for bids, providing that the final sales price is no less than the principal amount of unpaid taxes.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the aforesaid offer in the amount of $2,589.65 for property located off Hobbs Drive in Morton is accepted.

DONE IN OPEN SESSION this 23rd day of January, 2024.
