Summary:

Requesting the Board to approve the write off of 27 personal property parcels and 153 mineral rights parcels as uncollectible.  All efforts to collect have been unsuccessful.

Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 84.56.240, the Lewis County Treasurer has made diligent search and inquiry for personal property and mineral rights parcels with delinquent taxes from the tax collection system as listed in the attachment to this resolution; and

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Treasurer has compiled a listing of personal property and mineral rights parcels with delinquent taxes from the tax collection system, which remain outstanding and uncollectible; and

WHEREAS, all efforts toward collection of these delinquent taxes has failed; and

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Treasurer submits the attached list to the Lewis County Board of Commissioners to cancel such taxes as they cannot be collected.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lewis County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Lewis County Treasurer to cancel the delinquent personal property and mineral rights taxes on the attached list from the tax collection system.
