Business Meeting: Jan. 16, 2024
Summary:We are correcting a manifest error of a manufactured home that was moved to another county more than three years ago, and was missed. In the meantime, the owner has been paying taxes on something they don't own and is not in our county any longer. Per RCW, the Assessor's Office can update values for three years back, but this happened prior to that timeframe. We do have evidence that it was removed and when. We are requesting the legislative authority's permission to abate the values to the tax year when the owner should have no longer been paying.
