WHEREAS, Lewis County Code (LCC) 2.11.030(3) states that each vacancy on the Planning Commission shall be filled by appointment by the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners from a list of not less than one nominee residing in the respective county district of the vacating member; and

WHEREAS, LCC 2.11.030(5) states that members shall serve the full term of four years for district positions and two years for the at-large position and that no member may serve more than three consecutive terms; and

WHEREAS, there are two filled positions in District 3 with terms expiring on December 31, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Frank Corbin, who has served one term representing District 3, has indicated his willingness to be reappointed to the Planning Commission, and this would be his second term; and

WHEREAS, Gretchen Fritsch, who has served one term representing District 3, has indicated her willingness to be reappointed to the Planning Commission, and this would be her second term; and

WHEREAS, Commissioner Brummer, representing District 3, has nominated Frank Corbin and Gretchen Fritsch for reappointment to the Planning Commission; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the public interest to reappoint Frank Corbin and Gretchen Fritsch to the Planning Commission.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Lewis County, Washington, hereby reappoints two Planning Commission members as follows:

• Frank Corbin: District 3, four-year term that expires on December 31, 2027.
• Gretchen Fritsch: District 3, four-year term that expires on December 31, 2027.
