Summary:

The King Road MP 12.26 Bridge Scour project, which is funded by FHWA, requires additional right of way for stabilization of the road.  The project will require additional right of way from two property owners.  This resolution instructs the County Engineer to acquire the necessary right of way from two property owners.

Resolution

WHEREAS, stabilization of King Road is needed at MP 12.26 due to a bridge scour; and

WHEREAS, the proposed work will require one fee acquisition and two permanent easements from two adjoining landowners; and

WHEREAS, this project is priority number 1 within the adopted and amended 2024-2029 Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program; and

WHEREAS, this project is a necessary improvement and will benefit the public; and

WHEREAS, this resolution instructs the County Engineer to acquire additional right of way as shown on the attached Exhibit from two property owners along King Road.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the County Engineer is instructed to acquire all right of way necessary for the bridge scour project on King Road in Section 31, Township 13N, Range 3 West W.M., and directs that all such acquisitions be in accordance with adopted procedures as per Resolution 20-149.
