Summary:

This resolution will approve a consultant contract with KPFF Inc. to provide environmental review, permitting, structural engineering and other support services to mitigate current bridge load capacity on Davison Road Bridge MP 0.01 Project, CRP 2198, Federal Aid #BHOS-2021(075).  The total amount authorized is $350,718.91 with a management reserve of $25,000 for a maximum amount payable of $375,718.91

Resolution

WHEREAS, a Request for Proposal (RFP) was published in The Chronicle on May 11, 2023, and May 18, 2023, for environmental review, permitting, structural engineering and other support services to mitigate current bridge load capacity for the Davison Road Bridge MP 0.01 Project, CRP 2198, Federal Aid #BHOS-2021(075); and

WHEREAS, one proposal was received from KPFF Inc.; and the qualifications were reviewed and evaluated by Public Works; and

WHEREAS, KPFF Inc., with supporting subconsultant Exeltech Consulting, (collectively referred to as the Consultant), has been selected as the Consultant for the Davison Road Bridge MP 0.01 project; and

WHEREAS, the contract will authorize $350,718.91 for professional services, with a management reserve fund of $25,000, for a maximum amount payable of $375,718.91.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approves the contract with KPFF Inc. for the Davison Road MP 0.01 Project, CRP 2198, and authorizes the Public Works Director to sign the contract.
