Summary:

This resolution will approve a Salmon Recovery Funding Board (SRFB) Grant Agreement No 23-1138P between Recreation and Conservation (RCO) and Lewis County for the Blue Creek at Spencer Road Fish Habitat Restoration Design project, Spencer Road MP 5.38 to 5.52, in the amount of $495,750.00. The matching share provided by Lewis County will be a minimum of $87,486.00.

Resolution

WHEREAS, Public Works has listed fish passage restoration projects on the maintenance program; and

WHEREAS, Public Works has been awarded grant funding administered through the State of Washington Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) for the Blue Creek at Spencer Road Fish Habitat Restoration Design project, Spencer Road MP 5.38 to 5.52, RCO #23-1138P, in the amount of $495,750.00 with a minimum local match of $87,486.00; and

WHEREAS, the conditions of receiving the grant funding requires an agreement signed by the Chair of the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC); and

WHEREAS, the Public Works Director and County Engineer have reviewed the agreement between Lewis County and the RCO.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC has determined the project, for the Blue Creek at Spencer Road Fish Habitat Restoration Design project, Spencer Road MP 5.38 to 5.52, RCO #23-1138P, in the amount of $495,750.00, is in the best public interest and hereby approves the Chair of the BOCC to sign the grant agreement.
