WHEREAS, Lewis County Community Development is proposing to adopt the Packwood Subarea Plan as an amendment to the Lewis County Comprehensive Plan; and

WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held by the Lewis County Planning Commission on September 12, 2023, during which the Planning Commission considered testimony and voted to approve transmittal of a recommendation (Draft Ordinance 1350, Exhibit C) to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to adopt the Packwood Subarea Plan as an amendment to the Lewis County Comprehensive Plan; and

WHEREAS, publication of notice and a public hearing before the BOCC is required in order to take testimony and formal action on Ordinance 1350 to adopt the Packwood Subarea Plan as an amendment to the Lewis County Comprehensive Plan.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that a hearing before the BOCC is hereby scheduled to take place at or after 10 a.m. on December 12, 2023, to receive public testimony on Ordinance 1350 to adopt the Packwood Subarea Plan as an amendment to the Lewis County Comprehensive Plan; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Board is hereby instructed to proceed with all appropriate and necessary notifications, postings and publications as required by law.
