Resolution

WHEREAS, Pursuant to RCW 36.77.070, “If the Board of County Commissioners determines that any construction should be performed by County Forces, and the estimated cost of the work exceeds ten thousand dollars, it shall cause to be published in one issue of a newspaper of general circulation in the county, a brief description of the work to be done and the county road engineer’s estimate of the cost thereof.”  In this case, the work to be done is the County Forces construction projects in 2020; and

WHEREAS, The 2020 Annual Construction Program (ACP) was adopted by resolution 19-339 on November 18, 2019 and lists portions of the 2020 Countywide 3R Program ($700,000), Countywide Paths & Trails ($10,000), Swofford Pedestrian Improvements ($65,000), Countywide Emergent Construction Projects ($15,000), and 2020 Countywide Misc. Safety & Guardrail ($50,000) as County Forces construction projects with estimated costs in excess of ten thousand dollars.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that the construction projects listed in Exhibit A are approved to expend County Forces project funds in the calendar year 2020, for the estimated costs shown and are hereby to be published in compliance with RCW 36.77.070.  Costs shown do not include engineering, right of way, or County Forces projects less than ten thousand dollars.
