A call for bids for the Garrard Creek MP 2.8 Long Term Scour Repair Project, CRP 2159P was made on July 31, 2023. The project was advertised in the Chronicle and on Lewis County's website. Public Works received 4 bids for this project on August 17, 2023. Steele Trucking, Inc. provided the lowest responsive bid of $299,993.01. The Engineer's Estimate for this project was $214,513.50.

Public Works recommends awarding this project to the lowest responsive bidder, Steele Trucking, Inc.

Resolution

WHEREAS, a call for bids was issued July 31, 2023, for the Garrard Creek MP 2.8 Long Term Scour Repair Project, CRP 2159P; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted from the contractors as follows:

WHEREAS, Steele Trucking, Inc. provided the lowest responsive bid quote of $299,993.01 for the Garrard Creek MP 2.8 Long Term Scour Repair Project, CRP 2159P.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the Garrard Creek MP 2.8 Long Term Scour Repair Project, CRP 2159P, shall be awarded to Steele Trucking Inc. in the amount of $299,993.01 upon the execution of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) and upon WSDOT approval of the DBE goal review. Upon approval and presentation of such a contract, the County Engineer is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
