Summary:

A call for bids for the South Lewis County Airport - Phase 1 Improvements New Above Ground Avgas (100LL) Fueling Systems was made on July 6, 2023. The project was advertised in the Chronicle and on Lewis County's website. Public Works received one bid and one non-responsive bid for this project on  July 27, 2023. Mascott Equipment Company provided the lowest responsive bid of $242,277.34. The Engineer's Estimate for this project was $249,018.00.

Public Works recommends awarding this project to the lowest responsive bidder, Mascott Equipment Company.

Resolution

WHEREAS, a call for bids was issued July 6, 2023, for the South Lewis County Airport - Phase 1 Improvements, New Above Ground Avgas (100LL) Fueling System; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted from two contractors as follows:

 ; and

WHEREAS, Mascott Equipment Company provided the lowest responsive bid quote of $242,277.34 for the South Lewis County Airport - Phase 1 Improvements New Above Ground Avgas (100LL) Fueling System.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the South Lewis County Airport - Phase 1 Improvements New Above Ground Avgas (100LL) Fueling System, shall be awarded to Mascott Equipment Company in the amount of $242,277.34 upon the execution of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Upon presentation of such a contract, the Public Works Director is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
