Summary:

Department of Social & Health Services, Developmental Disabilities Administration contracts with Lewis County to administer funding for developmental disabilities services. Lewis County Public Health & Social Services subcontracts with local agencies to provide supported employment, community inclusion, and child development services for individuals with developmental disabilities who reside in Lewis County. This contract also includes funding for administration, training and community education activities.

Resolution

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners has reviewed Agreement #2363-48919 between the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) and Lewis County; and

WHEREAS, Department of Social & Health Services, Developmental Disabilities Administration contracts with Lewis County to administer funding for developmental disabilities services; and

WHEREAS, Public Health & Social Services will subcontract with local agencies to provide supported employment, community inclusion, and child development services for individuals with developmental disabilities who reside in Lewis County; and

WHEREAS, this contract also includes funding for administration, training and community education activities; and

WHEREAS, the contract duration is July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024; and

WHEREAS, the total maximum consideration for this contract is $1,295,409; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said contract for Lewis County.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby approves Agreement #2363-48919 to provide funding up to $1,295,409 for the time period of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, and authorizes the Director of Public Health & Social Services to sign the same.
