Summary:

This agreement is with the Washington State Department of Commerce and is funded through the Housing Division Homelessness Assistance Unit. The Consolidated Homeless Grant provides funds for homeless housing services.

Public Health & Social Services will subcontract with local service agencies to provide case management, shelter, permanent supportive housing, prevention, rapid rehousing, and housing & essential needs to those who are literally homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness in Lewis County.

Resolution

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has reviewed Contract #24-46108-18 between the Washington State Department of Commerce (DOC) and Lewis County; and

WHEREAS, the Consolidated Homeless Grant provides funds for homeless housing services; and

WHEREAS, Public Health & Social Services will subcontract with local service agencies to provide case management, shelter, permanent supportive housing, prevention, rapid rehousing, and housing and essential needs to those who are literally homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness in Lewis County; and

WHEREAS, the contract duration is July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025; and

WHEREAS, the total maximum consideration for this contract is $4,820,341; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said contract for Lewis County.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby approves Contract #24-46108-18 to provide funding up to $4,820,341 for the time period of July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025, for the purpose of providing homeless housing services to those who are literally homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness in Lewis County and authorizes the Director of Public Health & Social Services to sign the same.
