Resolution

WHEREAS, the Southwest Washington Fair Advisory Board consists of seven (7) members appointed by the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC); and

WHEREAS, the BOCC established volunteer board via Resolution 08-295 and updated its bylaws via Resolution 22-042; and

WHEREAS, with the departure of Kelly Sneed and Thomas Larson, the advisory board has two vacancies ; and

WHEREAS, Lee Coumbs of Centralia and Jerry Elliott of Chehalis have expressed interest in serving on the Southwest Washington Fair Advisory Board; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best public interest to appoint qualified candidates to the Southwest Washington Fair Advisory Board; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 22-042 established staggered, four-year terms for Board members, with the terms for three of the positions expiring together and the terms for the remaining four positions expiring together two years later; and

WHEREAS, the BOCC wishes to re-establish the staggered terms set forth by Resolution 22-042.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby appoints Lee Coumbs and Jerry Elliott to the Southwest Washington Fair Advisory Board for terms expiring May 31, 2025.
