A call for bids for the Kruger Road MP 1.20 Culvert Replacement Project, 15-1904, was made on May 4, 2023. Public Works received 6 bids for this project on May 25, 2023. Steele Trucking, Inc. of Chehalis, WA, provided the lowest responsive bid of $833,134.97.

Lewis County Public Works recommends that the contract for the Kruger Road MP 1.20 Culvert Replacement Project, 15-1904, be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder, Steele Trucking, Inc.

Resolution

WHEREAS, in accordance of RCW 39.04.155, a call for bids for the Kruger Road MP 1.20 Culvert Replacement Project, 15-1904 in Lewis County was made on May 4, 2023; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations were submitted on May 25, 2023, from contractors and calculated as follows:

WHEREAS, Steele Trucking, Inc. provided the lowest responsive bid quote of $833,134.97 for the Kruger Road MP 1.20 Culvert Replacement Project, 15-1904.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the Kruger Road MP 1.20 Culvert Replacement Project, 15-1904, in Lewis County shall be awarded to Steele Trucking, Inc. in the amount of $833,134.97, upon the execution of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Upon presentation of such a contract, the County Engineer is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
