Summary:This agreement is with the Washington State Department of Commerce and is funded through the Community Services and Housing Division. The Consolidated Homeless Grant provides funds for homeless housing services. Public Health & Social Services will subcontract with local service agencies to provide case management and rapid rehousing services to those who are literally homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness in Lewis County.
The purpose of this amendment is to de-obligate Housing & Essential Needs (HEN) funds that Lewis County does not project to spend out by the end of this contract period.

APPROVE CONSOLIDATED HOMELESS GRANT (CHG) CONTRACT #22-46108-18 AMENDMENT D BETWEEN THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE (DOC) AND LEWIS COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has reviewed Contract #22-46108-18 Amendment D between the Washington State Department of Commerce (DOC) and Lewis County; and
WHEREAS, the Consolidated Homeless Grant provides funds for homeless housing services; and
WHEREAS, Amendment D de-obligates Housing & Essential Needs (HEN) funds that Lewis County does not project to spend out by the end of this contract period; and
WHEREAS, the duration of this funding is July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby approves Contract #22-46108-18 Amendment D to the agreement with DOC to de-obligate funding by $311,342 for a new total maximum consideration of $2,787,595; and the BOCC authorizes the Director of Public Health & Social Services or her designee to sign the same.
