AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SIGN AGREEMENTS WITH HDR ENGINEERING FOR RAILROAD SWITCH UPGRADES AND RAILROAD TRACK EXTENSION AND ROAD CROSSING CLOSURE AT PACIFIC SOUND AND PACIFIC (PSAP) RAILROAD AT REYNOLDS AVENUE
WHEREAS, a Request for Proposals (RFP) was published in The Chronicle and the Daily Journal of Commerce (Seattle) on June 30 and July 7, 2022, for design, permitting, right-of-way services and construction documents for the Railroad Switch Upgrades and Railroad Track Extension and Road Crossing Closure of Puget Sound and Pacific (PSAP) Railroad at Reynolds Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County received RFP proposals from three (3) engineering firms: PH Consulting, HDR Engineering, and KPFF Consulting Engineers; and
WHEREAS, HDR Engineering Inc., with supporting sub-consultants (collectively referred to as the Consultant), was selected as the most qualified consultant for delivery of design, permitting, right-of-way services, and construction documents for the Railroad Switch Upgrade and Railroad Track Extension and Road Crossing Closure of the Puget Sound and Pacific (PSAP) Railroad at Reynolds Avenue.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approves contracts in the amount of $233,872.00 for the Railroad Switch Upgrade and $353,832.00 for the Railroad Track Extension and Road Crossing Closure of the Puget Sound and Pacific (PSAP) Railroad at Reynolds Avenue with HDR Engineering Inc. and authorizes the Public Works Director to sign the Professional Services Consultant Agreements.
