Juvenile Court seeks to ratify a professional services agreement between Lewis County and PPC Solutions for Juvenile Court security services.  The proposed agreement will go into effect April 1, 2023

Resolution

WHEREAS, there is a need to have armed security to provide security response and weapons screening at the Juvenile Court for the safety of Juvenile Court staff and the public; and

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has reviewed a Professional Services Agreement between Lewis County and PPC Solutions for the period of April 1, 2023, through December 31, 2024; and

WHEREAS, under this contract, compensation for PPC Solutions is estimated at $286 per week or $35.75 per hour for 8 hours a week for one armed security officer for the period of April 1, 2023, until December 31, 2024; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said contract for Lewis County.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Professional Services Agreement between PPC Solutions and Lewis County in the amount of $14,872.00 annually for security services for the period of April 1, 2023, until December 31, 2024, at the Lewis County Juvenile Court is hereby approved and the Juvenile Court Administrator is authorized to sign the same.
