Resolution

WHEREAS, Communication 911 has a need to purchase VHF radio microwave products, services and support; and

WHEREAS, the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) is a nonprofit association dedicated to advancing public procurement It is made up of the directors of the central purchasing offices in each of the 50 states; and

WHEREAS, NASPO works with a lead public agency, which competitively solicits master contracts. Contracts are based on quality, performance, and pricing; and

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Procurement Procedure Manual encourages cooperative purchasing when those procurements are in accordance with the Procurement Procedural Manual and Chapter 39.12 RCW; and

WHEREAS, it appears the NVP Public Safety Communication Support Equipment NASPO Contract for the purchase of VHF radio microwave equipment, services and support solicitation was made in conformity with procurement requirements within the Lewis County Procurement Procedural Manual and Chapter 39.12 RCW. The general terms and conditions and special contract terms and conditions contained in contract #05715 are hereby incorporated by reference and shall apply to this purchase; and

WHEREAS, the source for this procurement is the NVP Public Safety Communication Support Equipment NASPO contract #05715, which is an interstate cooperative procurement. The general terms and conditions and special contract terms and conditions contained in NASPO #05715 are hereby incorporated by reference and shall apply to this purchase; and

WHEREAS, the Lewis County BOCC originally authorized payment for this purchase through Resolution 20-191 using subcontractor Day Wireless Systems.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOCC hereby approves the utilization of the NASPO #05715 NVP Public Safety Communication Support Equipment Contract for the direct purchase of VHF microwave equipment, services, and support for E911 Communications. The Lewis 911 Communication Director is hereby authorized to process attached Purchase Agreement.
