WHEREAS, Jason Alves has indicated a willingness to continue to serve on the Lewis County Planning Commission; and

WHEREAS, Chapter 2.11.030 of the Lewis County Code (LCC) states that members who are appointed to fill a vacated existing term that has not expired shall complete the existing term and Jason Alves has served in a vacated existing term for District 1, term ending on December 31, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Chapter 2.11.030 LCC states that appointed commissioner members shall serve a term of four years, beginning on January first of the year, and no appointed commission member shall serve more than three consecutive full terms; and

WHEREAS,  this will be Jason Alves's first full term serving as a commission member; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the public interest to reappoint Jason Alves to the Lewis County Planning Commission.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lewis County BOCC hereby reappoints Jason Alves to the Lewis County Planning Commission, representing District 1, for a term ending on December 31, 2026.
