Summary:

Superior Court is seeking to ratify a professional services agreement between Lewis County and PPC Solutions for the 2022-2023 Law and Justice Center security services.  The proposed agreement will reflect an increase in the cost of services effective September 1, 2022, and also reflect the change from unarmed security services to armed security services effective January 1, 2023

Resolution

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) Lewis County, Washington, has reviewed a Professional Services Agreement between Lewis County and PPC Solutions for the period of September 1, 2022, through December 31, 2023; and

WHEREAS, PPC Solutions shall provide unarmed security services for the remainder of 2022 and shall provide armed security services for 2023 for the Lewis County Law and Justice Center; and

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 21-188 set compensation for PPC Solutions at $11,236.13 per month -- or $28.50 per hour per officer -- for two unarmed security officers; and

WHEREAS, under the new contract, compensation for PPC Solutions is $12,982.65 per month -- or $32.93 per hour per officer -- for two unarmed security officers for the period of September 1, 2022, until December 31, 2022; and

WHEREAS, under the new contract, compensation for PPC Solutions is $14,094.44 per month or $35.75 per hour for two armed security officers for the period of January 1, 2023, until December 31, 2023; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said contract for Lewis County.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Professional Services Agreement between PPC Solutions and Lewis County in the amount of $12,982.65 per month for unarmed security services for the period of September 1, 2022, until December 31, 2022, and $14,094.44 per month for armed security services for the period of January 1, 2023, until December 31, 2023, for security services at the Lewis County Law and Justice Center is hereby approved and the Superior Court Administrator is authorized to sign the same.
