The Information Technology 5-year Strategic Plan shows the need to replace the existing, aging, Wireless equipment that provides internet access to the County, including the Fairgrounds.

AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE ORDER WITH CISCO AND EDNETICS, AN APPROVED CISCO PARTNER
WHEREAS, Lewis County Information Technology Services is responsible for the safe and secure operation of County wireless infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, the County's current wireless infrastructure is past their useful end of life for support, maintenance and performance; and
WHEREAS, as a local governmental agency, Lewis County has the ability to purchase these products and services at a discounted rate through the Department of Enterprise Solutions (DES) and NASPO ValuePoint contracts; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has granted department directors the authority to bind the county in amounts totaling $50,000 to $200,000 with BOCC approval, as outlined in Resolution No. 21-038.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes the Director of Information Technology Services, or his designee, to complete a purchase order with Cisco and Ednetics, an approved Cisco partner, that is in excess of the above-mentioned $50,000 limitation.
