Resolution

WHEREAS, notice is given that the County Manager has submitted to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) the Preliminary Budget for 2023. Copies of the 2023 Preliminary Budget reports are available for review during normal office hours (8 a.m.- 5 p.m. weekdays) in the Budget Department located in the Historic Courthouse, 351 N.W. North Street, Room 209, Chehalis, WA or online at lewiscountywa.gov; and

WHEREAS, notice is further given that (1) the BOCC will hold a public informational meeting on the 2023 Preliminary Budget at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 22, 2022, in the BOCC Hearing Room, located in the Historic Courthouse, 351 N.W. North Street, in Chehalis; and (2) the BOCC will hold public hearings in the BOCC Hearing Room at or after 10 a.m. Dec. 5, 2022, to adopt the 2023 Budget and to fix the amount of the levies upon property in the county for 2023.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOCC will hold an informational public meeting on the Lewis County Budget for 2023 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 22, 2022; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the BOCC will hold public hearings in the BOCC Hearing Room at or after 10 a.m. Dec. 5, 2022, to adopt the 2023 Budget and to fix the amount of the levies upon property in the county for 2023; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Board is hereby instructed to proceed with all appropriate and necessary notifications, postings and publications as required by law.
