Resolution

WHEREAS, a Request for Proposals (RFP) was published in the Chronicle on March 24 and March 31, 2022, for planning services to develop Airport Master Plan Updates for the Ed Carlson Memorial – South Lewis County Airport (TDO) and Packwood Airport (55S); and

WHEREAS, Public Works received two proposals, one from Century West Engineering and one from Coffman Associates.  The proposals were reviewed and evaluated by Public Works; and

WHEREAS, Century West Engineering with supporting sub-consultants (collectively referred to as the Consultant), has been selected as the Consultant for the development of a Master Plan Update for the Toledo (TDO) - Ed Carlson Memorial-South Lewis County Airport (TDO) and Packwood Airport (55S); and

WHEREAS, on July 12, 2022, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Seattle ADO’s office, Lewis County Public Works and Century West Engineering reviewed an Independent Fee Estimate review of the Scope of Work and Fee Estimates completed HDR Engineering per FAA requirements; and

WHEREAS, Public Works has prepared contracts for airport planning services with Century West Engineering in the amounts of $259,000 for completion of an Airport Layout Plan Update for the Toledo (TDO) – Ed Carlson Memorial – South Lewis County Airport and $354,900 for completion of a Master Plan Update for the Packwood Airport (55S).

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approves the contracts and contract amounts with Century West Engineering for the Airport Layout Plan Update for Toledo (TDO) - Ed Carlson Memorial – South Lewis County Airport  and Airport Master Plan Update for the Packwood Airport (55S) project(s), and the Public Works Director is authorized to sign the same.
