ESTABLISH 2023-2025 MEDICAL RATES TO BE PAID BY LEWIS COUNTY FOR NON-UNION EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the current health and welfare insurance premium contribution levels for non-represented employees and for most elected officials were approved by the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) as part of Resolution 20-421, effective January 1, 2021; and
WHEREAS, employee (including casual employee) eligibility for Washington State Public Employees Benefits Board ("PEBB") benefits shall be determined pursuant to the criteria set forth in WAC 182-12-114; and
WHEREAS, to the extent that the health and welfare insurance premiums for plan-year 2023 are and will be increasing, the BOCC has decided to increase the employer contribution an additional $25.00 per month per plan relative to the 2022 employer contribution; for plan-year 2024 an additional $25.00 per month per plan relative to the 2023 employer contribution; and for plan-year 2025 an additional $25.00 per month per plan relative to the 2024 employer contribution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Lewis County shall contribute up to an additional $25.00 per month per plan relative to the 2022, 2023, and 2024 employer contribution for plan years 2023, 2024, and 2025 for non-represented employees, the Auditor, Clerk, District Court Judges, Coroner, County Commissioners and Treasurer. Such contributions may be applied to any plan offered by Public Employers Benefits Board (PEBB) for which each employee is eligible and in which they elect to enroll; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the additional employer contributions for 2023, 2024, and 2025 payroll shall be included on any December payroll which includes the new respective plan year insurance premiums.
