Summary:This agreement is between Lewis County and Housing Resource Center to provide emergency shelter services to Lewis County community members who:
• Are at imminent risk - An individual or family who will lose their primary night time residence within 14 days & no subsequent housing has been identified
• Literally homeless - An individual or family who lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence
These services are part of Lewis County Public Health & Social Services five-year housing and homeless strategic plan to reduce the number of unhoused persons in Lewis County.

APPROVE CONTRACT H02-0175-22 BETWEEN HOUSING RESOURCE CENTER AND LEWIS COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has reviewed contract H02-0715-22 with Housing Resource Center in the amount of $40,459.00 to provide emergency shelter services between July 1, 2022, and October 31, 2022, adding to the original contracted amount of $199,999 for the period of November 1, 2020, to June 30, 2022, approved via Resolution 20-433, to Lewis County community members who are at imminent risk of homeless or are literally homeless; and
WHEREAS, these services are part of Lewis County Public Health and Social Services five-year housing and homeless strategic plan to reduce the number of unhoused persons in Lewis County; and
WHEREAS, the contract duration is July 1, 2022, through October 31, 2022, and brings the total budget consideration to $239,459; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution of said contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that contract H02-0175-22 between Housing Resource Center and Lewis County Public Health and Social Services to provide emergency shelter services to Lewis County community members who are at imminent risk of homeless or are literally homeless from July 1, 2022, through October 31, 2022, is hereby approved, and the Interim Director of Public Health and Social Services is authorized to sign the same.
