Summary:

This resolution will ratify a contract supplemental agreement that cumulatively increases a contract's maximum amount payable in 2022 by $200,000, thus bringing the maximum amount payable for the On-Call Geotechnical Engineering consultant agreement (GEO2019) with Landau and Associates to $550,000.

Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 21-038, appointed directors of each of the county departments subject to the authority of the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) are delegated authority to execute and bind Lewis County to consulting services contracts, projects, agreements, grant applications, contract amendments and change orders involving the actual expenditure and/or receipt of up to $200,000 per project, per year on a cumulative annual basis provided that, by resolution, the BOCC ratifies such contracts, projects, agreements, grant applications, contract amendments, and change orders in excess of $50,000 but less than $200,000; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 21-391 was adopted by the BOCC, approving GEO2019's Supplemental Agreement Number 4 and the maximum amount payable of $350,000; and

WHEREAS, approval for Supplemental Agreement Number 5 is needed to increase GEO2019's maximum amount payable by an additional $200,000 to a new maximum amount payable of $550,000 for task orders related to: Carr Road slide #2 study and repair alternatives; Little Hanaford Road slide study and repair alternatives; Rosebrook Road slide study and wall analysis; and a reserve for future task orders.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that increasing the maximum amount payable by $200,000 for agreement GEO2019, to a total of $550,000, through Supplemental Agreement Number 5, bringing the total increases of GEO2019 in 2022 to $200,000, is hereby ratified by the BOCC.
