Summary:

A call for bids for the Culvert Material Purchase – Centralia Alpha Road MP 15.79 Culvert Replacement Project, CMP 15-1810, was made on March 10, 2022. The project was advertised in the Chronicle, the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce, and on Lewis County's website. Public Works received two bids for this project on March 31, 2022. Columbia Precast Products provided the lowest responsive bid of $287,826.00. The Engineer's Estimate for this purchase was $237,160.00 with tax.

Public Works recommends awarding this project to the lowest responsive bidder, Columbia Precast Products.

Resolution

WHEREAS, a call for bids was issued March 10, 2022, for the Culvert Material Purchase – Centralia Alpha Road MP 15.79 Culvert Replacement Project, CMP 15-1810; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted from the contractors as follows:

WHEREAS, Columbia Precast Products provided the lowest responsive bid quote of $287,826.00 for the Culvert Material Purchase – Centralia Alpha Road MP 15.79 Culvert Replacement Project, CMP 15-1810.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the Culvert Material Purchase – Centralia Alpha Road MP 15.79 Culvert Replacement Project, CMP 15-1810, shall be awarded to Columbia Precast Products in the amount of $287,826.00 upon the execution of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Upon presentation of such a contract, the County Engineer is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
