Summary:

A call for bids for the Culvert Material Purchase – Crumb Road MP 0.17 Culvert Replacement Project, SM 20F630050017, was made on March 3, 2022. The project was advertised in the Chronicle, the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce, and on Lewis County's website. Public Works received two bids for this project on March 24, 2022. Jensen Precast, Puyallup, WA, provided the lowest responsive bid of $294,735.98. The Engineer's Estimate for this purchase was $296,450.00 with tax.

Public Works recommends awarding this project to the lowest responsive bidder, Jensen Precast.

Resolution

WHEREAS, a call for bids was issued March 3, 2022, for the Culvert Material Purchase – Crumb Road MP 0.17 Culvert Replacement Project, SM 20F630050017; and

WHEREAS, bid quotations have been submitted from the contractors as follows:

WHEREAS, Jensen Precast provided the lowest responsive bid quote of $294,735.98 for the Culvert Material Purchase – Crumb Road MP 0.17 Culvert Replacement Project, SM 20F630050017.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the Culvert Material Purchase – Crumb Road MP 0.17 Culvert Replacement Project, SM 20F630050017, shall be awarded to Jensen Precast in the amount of $294,735.98 upon the execution of a contract acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Upon presentation of such a contract, the County Engineer is authorized to sign on behalf of the BOCC.
