Summary:Approving Contract with Ednetics for the purchase of audio/video, network equipment and installation services. Ednetics is an approved vendor to provide these services off Washington State Master Contract and NASPO ValuePoint contract for the Lewis County Superior Court courtrooms and Lewis County District Court courtrooms. These services are supplementing the recent project to upgrade the Courts infrastructure. Lewis County IT has identified other needs to help provide an integrated solution to hold remote video conferencing proceedings and other functions to limit the transport of inmates for court appearances and provide the ability for the public to use video conferencing in lieu of personal appearances.
The significant increased need for the Courts to function with remote video and audio technology requires these additional services and hardware to provide reliable and functional capabilities.

AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE ORDER WITH EDNETICS
WHEREAS, the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted Lewis County Court operations significantly and is requiring video and audio conferencing capabilities; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County Courts need to limit the transport of inmates for court appearances and provide the ability for the public to use video conferencing in lieu of personal appearances; and
WHEREAS, Lewis County Information Technology Services is responsible for the technology used for video and audio conferencing; and
WHEREAS, the county has the ability to purchase off of the Washington State contract agreement with Ednetics; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has granted department directors the authority to bind the county in amounts totaling $50,000 to $200,000 with BOCC approval, as outlined in Resolution No. 21-038.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes the Director of Information Technology Services, or his designee, to complete a purchase order with Ednetics that is in excess of the above-mentioned $50,000 limitation.
