Resolution

WHEREAS, the Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR Part 21 and 23 CFR 200) requires each local agency that receives federal funds to establish a Title VI Non-Discrimination Program, which Lewis County established by Resolution 21-043 on February 1, 2021; and

WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) requires an updated Title VI Non-Discrimination Agreement whenever the Board Chair changes; and

WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) requires an updated Title VI Accomplishments and Goal Report; and

WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has reviewed the Title VI Non-Discrimination Agreement; and

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the public’s best interest to authorize this agreement between WSDOT and Lewis County.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC approves the 2022 Title VI Non-Discrimination agreement with WSDOT and authorizes the BOCC Chair to sign on the county's behalf.
