Summary:

This resolution will approve a supplement that cumulatively increases a maximum amount payable in 2021 by more than $200,000 for the On Call Geotechnical Engineering consultant agreement (GEO2019) with Landau Associates.

Resolution

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 21-038, changes or amendments to consulting services contracts, projects, agreements, grant applications, contract amendments and change orders, originally approved by a director that increase the required cumulative annual expenditure on the consulting services contract, project, agreement, or grant application to more than $200,000 shall be approved by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC); and

WHEREAS, Resolution 21-100 was adopted by the BOCC, ratifying a consultant agreement over $50,000 with Landau Associates for the On Call Geotechnical consultant contract. This resolution increased the GEO2019's maximum amount payable by $85,000, making the new maximum amount payable $150,000; and

WHEREAS, approval for Supplemental Agreement Number 4 is needed to increase GEO2019's maximum amount payable by an additional $200,000 to a new maximum amount payable of $350,000 for task orders related to a hazardous materials investigation for a new Public Works facility, studies and alternatives analysis for landslides on Carr Road and Meade Hill Road, final design for a landslide on Salzer Valley Road, and $60,000 of reserves for future task orders.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that increasing the maximum amount payable by $200,000 for agreement GEO2019, to a total of $350,000, through Supplemental Agreement Number 4, bringing the total increases of GEO2019 in 2021 to $285,000, is hereby approved by the BOCC.
