Resolution

WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW Chapter 36.40, there is a need to hold public hearings on the Budget for 2022; and

WHEREAS, notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will meet on Monday, December 6, 2021, on or after 10:00 a.m., at the Lewis County Courthouse for a public hearing at which any taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against any part of the 2022 Budget; and

WHEREAS, notice is also given the BOCC will meet at or after 10 a.m. December 6, 2021, to fix the amount of the levies upon property in the county for 2022; and

WHEREAS, on November 15, 2021, the BOCC approved sending the legal notice -- attached hereto and marked as Exhibit A -- to the following newspapers for the following publication dates:

• The Chronicle: Nov. 18, 27 and 30, 2021
• The East County Journal: Nov. 24 and Dec. 1, 2021

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOCC will meet on Monday, December 6, 2021, at or after 10:00 a.m. at the Lewis County Courthouse for the purpose of taking public comments on the Lewis County Budget for 2022 and to fix the amount of the levies upon property in the county for 2022.
