WHEREAS, the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) created the East Lewis County Public Development Authority (ELCPDA) via Ordinance 1149 on May 20, 1996; and

WHEREAS, two ELCPDA board members -- Gerri Maize and Ken Rankin -- have stepped down, leaving two vacancies; and

WHEREAS, Gerri Maize's term expired April 1, 2020, and Ken Rankin's term was set to expire April 1, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Ordinance 1149 established staggered three-year terms for the members of the Board of Directors; and

WHEREAS, the following individuals have expressed a willingness to serve serve on the ELCPDA:

• Fred Morton of Packwood
• Hazelanna McMahan of Randle

WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to appoint the interested parties to the ELCPDA Board of Directors.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the BOCC hereby appoints Fred Morton and Hazelanna McMahan to the ELCPDA Board of Directors as follows:
