Resolution
APPROVE THE TERMS OF A FRANCHISE BETWEEN VADER WATER AND THE CITY OF VADER TO INSTALL, CONSTRUCT, OPERATE AND MAINTAIN WATER FACILITIES WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF VADER
WHEREAS, RCW 35A.47.040 gives the City of Vader the authority to grant franchise for utilities within City Rights of Ways; and
WHEREAS, a franchise application was submitted by the Lewis County Public Works for Vader Water to install, construct, operate and maintain water facilities within the city limits of Vader; and
WHEREAS, City of Vader held a hearing on said franchise application on August 12, 2021, and by Ordinance No. 2021-05, granted the franchise to Vader Water to install, construct, operate and maintain water facilities within the city limits of Vader.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Board of County Commissioners approves the Resolution to accept the terms of the franchise from the City of Vader for Vader Water to install, construct, operate and maintain water facilities within the city limits of Vader.
